African Health Grid Foundation (AFHEG Foundation) is a non-profit health organization in Uganda that aims to build a health-literate community by empowering young people with accurate health and environmental information through advocacy, creative storytelling, and gamified learning, enabling them to improve their quality of life.
We are building a health-literate community
By fostering health and environmental literacy, the African Health Grid Foundation (AFHEG Foundation) aims to equip young people with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their health and environment, ultimately contributing to improved well-being and sustainable development in Uganda and beyond.
Through our innovative programs like Smarty, the Health Defenders Clubs, and our game franchise like the Super Bugs Clash “Kampala Edition”, we aim to increase understanding of environmental and health issues while promoting disease prevention, sustainable living, and health promotion.
Our goal is to enhance healthcare quality and strengthen Uganda’s health systems while providing equal access to community health services and health information through the use of trained volunteers.
