The Health Defenders Program is a program by the AFHEG Foundation that focuses on climate-health education and empowerment among young people in Uganda. This program engages various stakeholders, including school-going children, young people, mothers, journalists, policymakers, medical personnel, and Village Health Officers. These individuals are carefully selected from the communities, undergo thorough training, and are equipped with relevant skills and knowledge.
The program's goal is to empower these groups with well-researched climate-health information, enabling them to advocate for improved health systems, hold leaders accountable for the quality of healthcare services provided and promote sustainable living.

The CHSC project is a community health insurance scheme developed by the AFHEG Foundation. It specifically targets rural areas in Uganda that have poor quality health services. The aim of this project is to improve access to quality healthcare for people living in these underserved areas. It achieves this by pooling resources and sharing the costs of healthcare services, thus making it more affordable and accessible for the community members.
