KENYA – The Kenyan Ministry of Health has created a five-year priority research and learning agenda for reproductive health in order to enhance the coordination of reproductive health research and programmatic efforts.

KENYA – AstraZeneca, a global pharmaceutical corporation, has supplied Kenya’s Ministry of Health with digital non-mydriatic research equipment that employs retinal cameras to assess a patient’s risk of already having or developing diabetes and hypertension through a single retinal screening.
DJIBOUTI – The United States government has donated a US$4 million fully equipped mobile field hospital to the Djiboutian Ministry of Health through USAID, the Office of Security Cooperation, and Camp Lemonier to offer a safe environment for high-level medical services.
UGANDA – Over 70 emergency responders, including managers, national trainers, and rapid response teams, were trained by the Ministry of Health, the World Health Organization (WHO), and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at the Nile Village Hotel in Jinja on the rapid deployment and operational response to public health emergencies.
